Dear Valued Patient,
My wife, Sperrie, and I saw our first patient on December 27, 1983 with only one treatment room.
It was just the two of us, “The Skip and Sperrie Show”.
Our goal was to treat every patient as family.
We are so grateful that so many of you chose us as your dentist and have entrusted your oral health to our care.
Over the years I have assembled a team that is the best I could have possibly asked for.
Thank you to Kim, my hygienist for over 32 years and Brandy, my clinical assistant for over 19 years.
Rhonda, my treatment coordinator, and everything administrative, for over 17 years.
Gwen, my Wednesday hygienist for over 17 years and Sue, my monthly Friday hygienist for the last 3 years.
I would have to make this letter pages long to properly acknowledge and thank them for their invaluable contribution to the care we have provided to you and for the joy they brought to the office.
Together as a team we have enjoyed coming to work every day because of you.
Which brings me to the purpose of this letter besides thanking you as a patient and them as a team.
As many of you may know by now, my office building was sold; and I will have to close my office early next year.
It is too late in my career to consider moving the office.
So it gives me the opportunity to do what I want to do at this point in my life, and that is to retire so I can spend more time with Sperrie.
I am so happy and proud to let you know that after considerable searching, I have found a dentist and team that I am totally comfortable placing my trust in to offer the same level of care and caring that my team and I have striven to offer you.
Effective 1 January, Dr. Dani Shertok will be taking over my practice in his office located in the Doctors Building downtown at 19 Garfield Place, Suite 414, just a five minute walk from my office.
His office telephone number is 513.721.5924.
His website is www.ShertokSmiles.com
Dr. Shertok graduated from Sycamore High School in Cincinnati and then earned an Engineering degree at the University of Michigan. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in 2009, he sought out and was selected to attend a voluntary year of additional training at an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Florida.
He has practiced dentistry in a private office setting since 2010 and has accumulated hundreds of hours of continuing education credits, many from the same leaders in dentistry that I learned so much from. He is skilled in many aspects of dentistry including, cosmetic and surgical procedures, as well as implant dentistry.
I consulted with specialists that we both use and for whom I have the highest regard and was told he does excellent dentistry, is very conscientious, and really cares about his patients. I personally looked at his 85 Google reviews (which average 5.0 stars!) and the comments about him and his team are very similar to reviews that many of you have taken the time to share about my team and me. Now you know why I feel so comfortable having Dr. Shertok take over for me.
For those of you who have pre-scheduled appointments in January, Dr. Shertok’s office will be contacting you in the next week or two to confirm or set up a new appointment time.
Thank you again for so many fond memories.
We are excited you will have the opportunity to continue your dental care with a team as dedicated as mine was.
We wish you and your family the best in the coming years!
Dr. and Mrs. Gay (Skip and Sperrie), Kim, Brandy, Rhonda, Gwen and Sue
